Hannah Lauren Wilson is a New York City based actor, singer, bust-a-mover (her words), and content creator. Originally from Portland, OR, she dove headfirst into the world of acting at age 10, when she made her Network TV debut as a co-star in Leverage on TNT. And the momentum didn’t stop there! Later that year, she made her professional stage debut in Ragtime at Portland Center Stage- without ever having seen or rehearsed the show. After the theatre called her, she stopped her school work, watched the matinee, and learned all the blocking, lines, music and a Latvian accent to go on for Little Girl when one of the child actors had swine flu (and there weren’t any understudies). She has been a consistently working actor ever since.
Hannah is well regarded for her unique and exciting belt, as well as her ability to be a total vocal chameleon. From classic jazz, opera to pop/rock, and any type of musical theatre, it’s rare to find a genre of music she can’t tackle. She has the pleasure of exercising these skills every week at Gayle’s Broadway Rose, where she is a singing server.
Storytelling is where Hannah thrives. Her ability to step seamlessly into pieces of realism and naturalism, while also able to nail wacky, larger than life characters, is one of the reasons she continues to work in film, tv and theatre. She’s also a skilled puppeteer, having portrayed several of your favorite Disney sidekicks over the years.
When not performing, she is a content creator with an emphasis in musical theatre. She’s acquired over 44k followers across all her personal platforms. When not creating for herself, she works as the social media manager for The Institute for American Musical Theatre.
During breaks in her busy schedule, you can find her listening to a good audiobook, consuming matcha or boba (or boba IN matcha) and playing fantasy video games.
